Al-Ayyub’s Rhythm is an Oriental rhythm consisting of two times and is used in Sufi music. The Ayyub rhythm is used in the spiritual rites of Zar, which are practiced in Egypt. Al-Ayyub enters into oriental music beautifully to give the character of mystery, fate and confusion in the piece. He is also used in solo playing.
